People often ask me about how Ulrich Automation started. I like to say we are the accidental machine shop. In that never set out to open a machine shop I set out to build custom automation. It just so happened that I needed to machine a lot of parts to test things I’d designed. Now our machining abilities are 60-70 % of our business and the custom automation makes up the rest.
